Dick Lord
Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Richard T. (Dick) Lord has more than thirty years of technical and management experience in the power and energy fields in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. His current primary range of focus involves the seamless integration of solutions for the three essential elements of critical infrastructure security: physical security, information security, and operations security.
Prior to founding The Steadfast Group, Dick was President of Hathaway Automation Technology. Before that, he was Vice President of Energy Innovations for Dayton Power & Light Co. Previous positions held include General Manager, Asia-Pacific, for Landis and Gyr (Singapore), Business Management Director for Control Data Corp., Product Manager for Rockwell International Corp., and Corporate Strategic Planning Manager for GE.
Dick holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
A respected leader in critical infrastructure security, Dick has delivered lectures, led workshops, and been keynote speaker for organizations such as the FBI's InfraGard Program, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Emerging Technology Summit, the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum, the IEEE Power & Energy Society, DistribuTech conferences, and GITA. He has chaired and been active in a number of professional bodies and standards groups including ASIS, IEEE and GITA and has authored more than thirty articles and publications in the United States and abroad. Dick has 30 pending patents on file with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
